The LINC Program comes to Caledon Community Services and Caledon!
The LINC Language Instruction for
Newcomers to Canada is a program funded by Citizenship and Immigration
Canada that offers free language training for newcomers to Canada. The
purpose of LINC is to help students become participating members of
Canadian society by developing essential language skills.
Classes are open to anyone who is an adult
immigrant, 18 years of age and over, who are Landed Immigrants or
Convention Refugees.
Levels 1 through 5 are offered on a
part-time basis. Day and evening classes are available.
Levels 1, 2, 3
are offered during the day:
Mondays and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. – 2:00
p.m.
Fridays 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Levels 3, 4, 5
are offered in the evening:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 6:00 –
9:00 p.m.
Before you can be placed into LINC classes
at Caledon Community Services, your language levels must be assessed to
determine the appropriate class you should attend.
