Volunteer Services
There is a quiet glory that is yours when you get involved in volunteering...
A new event committee volunteer said it best:
"I want to thank you for inviting me to this committee and allowing me to share in Caledon Community Services. I have wanted for so long to be a part of something that would allow me to share my creative ideas while benefiting and helping others. I cannot thank you enough for including me.!"
Cathy, Volunteer
Our capacity to care for each other is most evident during a crisis. Large and small compassionate deeds are what bind communities together.
At Caledon Community Services these acts of kindness include working at Chez
Thrift and the ReUstore, CCS's two retail outlets. You may also provide regular
rides to seniors, assist someone in a job search or join a project committee
that's planning a fundraising event. You can work with staff in our office on a
funding proposal, provide service to those who seek our support, or organize a
new communications plan for the community.
There's no end to the skills and interests we welcome and no end to
the good work you can offer. Make a community connection, gain experience, learn new skills,
and meet wonderful people. Come and join us!
Stores
Love the roar of busy shoppers?
Two fundraising stores – Chez Thrift and ReUstore – offer you opportunities as sorters, merchandisers
and cashiers.
Driving
Get to know your community!
Drive around the block, across town or into the city. Volunteers drive our clients to medical appointments. Mileage is paid by Caledon Community Services.
CCS Teams
It’s easy!
Your experience can be a long or short-term commitment. From lending your
expertise to a project, to volunteering in our office on administrative and
other project-related activities, to a seat on Board sub-committees and on our
Board of Directors. CCS welcomes your interest and wants you to contact our
Volunteer Manager.
